We are looking to fill our Full Time Electrician opening, which is located at Target Center in Minneapolis, MN, home of the MN Timberwolves and MN Lynx. 

Job Summary

The Target Center is seeking a qualified and experienced Full-Time Electrician to join its Operations team. This role is responsible for maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting electrical systems that support daily building operations and large-scale events. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to safety, and experience working in a commercial or industrial facility.

Essential Functions

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, fixtures, and systems throughout the facility
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all electrical systems
• Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and troubleshoot system faults during both event and non-event hours
• Provide temporary power solutions for NBA/WNBA games, concerts, sporting events, and special events
• Monitor building automation and energy management systems related to electrical infrastructure
• Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA regulations, and local codes
• Maintain accurate logs, service records, and inventory of tools, parts, and supplies
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors as needed for repairs and installations
• Assist other trades as necessary (HVAC, plumbing, general maintenance)

Required Qualifications (Job Knowledge, Skills, and Education)

• Valid Minnesota Journeyman or higher
• 4+ years of experience in commercial, industrial, or venue electrical work
• Solid understanding of high and low-voltage electrical systems, power distribution, and lighting systems
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
• Familiarity with electrical safety procedures and lockout/tagout protocols
• Experience with lighting control systems, emergency power systems, and energy-efficient technologies preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Experience working in an arena, stadium, or event-driven facility is a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Capable of climbing ladders, working in elevated areas, and navigating confined spaces
• Standing and walking for extended periods during shifts

Hours of Work and Travel Requirements 

• Varies by show to include days, nights, weekdays, and weekends.
