We are looking for a Quality Process Leader to join Kaiser Aluminum Warrick Operations in Newburgh, Indiana!
The Quality Process Leader will provide problem solving leadership on process, product, customer and equipment issues while on shift working through quality related issues to minimize scrap and maintaining quality expectations set by our customers.

What you will work on:
- Complete line audits and monitor processes to ensure customer and production expectations are met.
- Disposition metal in real time to ensure maximum recovery that meets customer requirements.
- Work with Area Metallurgists on quality issues that arise on shift.
- Review SQM maps on shift for quality defects and disposition accordingly.
- Become a Process Manager over key processes identified by management.
- Troubleshoot the SQM systems when issues arise.
- Inspect coils at the 2-56 when needed to obtain samples for troubleshooting and dispositioning.
- Inspect 10 ft samples for defects/features and react as needed when found.
- Send out Quality Shift Reports with metal dispositions along with detailed explanations.
- Position includes rotating shift work including weekends.
About you:
- High School Diploma
- 2 years of quality experience in manufacturing
- Proven knowledge of leading/supervising in a manufacturing environment
- The ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing requests while maintaining a culture of accountability and execution
- Able to effectively communicate by written and verbal communication
- Willing to adapt to changing work schedule to support production needs
- Must be able to work in a hot environment, when on the plant floor
- Must be able to stand 50% of the time.
It would be great if you had:
- Strong technical aptitude along with proficiency with Microsoft Office, SAP and Minitab
- Working knowledge of Ametek SmartView surface inspections systems or other equivalent inspection systems
- Industrial manufacturing experience in the metals industry
- BS/BA and significant related experience
