About the Job

At Kantar, we believe pricing is about clarity, trust, and long‑term value — not just numbers. As our Client Pricing / Costing Manager, we rely on you to help us build accurate, well‑governed pricing that supports both our clients’ needs and our commercial goals.

We work closely across Sales, Finance, Operations, Procurement, and technical teams, and this role sits right at the center of that collaboration. Together, we translate complex research requirements into robust costing and pricing proposals that enable sustainable growth. The impact of your work is visible: stronger margins, better decision‑making, and confident client conversations. It’s a role where your judgement really matters!

Job Goals (Your first year with us)

In your first year, we expect you to:

  • Understanding the Client’s requirements and ensuring the costing includes all the necessary sample design and delivery details
  • Build accurate and transparent costing proposals for the clients that reflect best practices in research design, sample requirements, and delivery effort
  • Support complex or higher‑risk pricing proposals, ensuring assumptions and risks are clearly understood
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for pricing‑related questions, escalations, and governance decisions
  • Strengthen pricing capability across teams by sharing guidance, tools, and practical know‑how
  • Embed consistent pricing frameworks, approval routes, and guardrails across the business
  • Track and communicate how pricing improvements affect margin quality, efficiency, and delivery outcomes
  • Support change initiatives related to pricing transformation, including new tools, processes, or operating models

Ideal Skills and Capabilities

We’re looking for someone who brings a thoughtful, structured approach to pricing and enjoys working across teams. You’ll do well in this role if you have:

  • Strong English communication for explaining pricing decisions to colleagues and clients.
  • Commercial mindset for analysing data, questioning assumptions, and finding practical solutions.
  • Skilled at multitasking, prioritising, and meeting deadlines.
  • High attention to detail for accurate pricing tasks.
  • Analytical abilities to assess feasibility, costs, and trade-offs.
  • Able to manage expectations and build positive team relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in market research, pricing, commercial, or proposal support in a professional services or research setting is an advantage.
  • Interest in new technology, with opportunities to use AI tools like Copilot in pricing and proposals.

What You’ll Be Doing

Day to day, we’ll rely on you to understand client requirements and make sure all sample design and delivery elements are fully reflected in our costings. You’ll assess feasibility, work with vendors and panel partners to secure optimal pricing, and prepare timely, high‑quality proposals aligned with client expectations.

You’ll also contribute to client briefings and internal project launches, and we’ll involve you in broader pricing transformation initiatives as we continue to improve our tools, processes, and ways of working.

Why You’ll Love Working With Us

We want you to feel supported, valued, and able to do your best work. That’s why we offer:

  • A hybrid working model (2 days in the office, 3 from home)
  • 25 days of annual leave plus 2 paid volunteering days
  • Access to LinkedIn Learning and internal development platforms
  • Mental health support and wellbeing programmes
  • Multisport card, meal allowance, and cafeteria points
  • Pension contribution and life insurance
  • On‑site paid canteen and discounted physiotherapy and massage services
