Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Staff Engineer Mission Assurance. This position will be located located in Roy, UT .

What You'll Get To Do:
Responsibilities include:
Reviewing and evaluating engineering documents and contract deliverables (such as plans, drawings, presentations) to ensure the performance and quality of products conform to established standards, specifications and customer requirements
Leading and participating in root cause and corrective action analyses (RCCA) and failure investigations for high impact issues.
Collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Mission Assurance and Global Supply Chain to ensure quality is inherent in every requirement, design, work product, and end-product delivered by Northrop Grumman.
Identifying potential risks related to hardware and software products and developing mitigation strategies.
Analyzing and identifying gaps in project/program requirements and helping to drive proactive solutions.
Collecting, analyzing and reporting key performance indicator data/metrics and taking appropriate action to mitigate risks and improve performance.
Supplier oversight and management (related to quality performance)

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors in Science degree and 12 years of related experience, OR a Masters in Science Degree and 10 years of related experience, or a PhD with 8 years of experience.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret Clearance.
Minimum 4 years directly applying Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles
Minimum 4 years experience working in an AS9100 facility.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university
Experience in the defense industry, supporting government contracts
AS9100 certified internal auditor
Advanced knowledge of mechanical and non-destructive inspection techniques
Welding and/or weld-inspection certification/experience
Active Secret Clearance
