Position Description:

The University of Louisville School of Nursing is seeking to hire a Compliance Specialist III. The position is responsible for ensuring comprehensive clinical compliance for clinical placements across multiple academic programs within the School of Nursing. This role serves as the primary liaison with clinical partners and internal stakeholders to maintain adherence to all applicable clinical standards, policies, and procedures related to clinical compliance. The position requires a detail-oriented professional who can effectively monitor, assess, and coordinate clinical compliance activities while supporting safe, effective clinical learning experiences for nursing students.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Clinical Compliance Monitoring and Assessment

  • Monitor compliance with clinical placement requirements including student health records, immunizations, background checks, and drug screenings

  • Ensure adherence to clinical site agreements, policies, and specific requirements for each healthcare facility

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of clinical placement compliance to identify gaps and areas for improvement

  • Track and analyze clinical compliance metrics, and communicate with students and faculty, as needed

  • Maintain current knowledge of evolving clinical requirements from healthcare facilities and regulatory bodies

Clinical Documentation and Reporting

  • Prepare detailed reports on student clinical compliance status

  • Coordinate the collection and verification of required clinical documents including health records, certifications, and training completion

  • Maintain accurate records of clinical compliance activities, student clearances, and facility-specific requirements

Clinical Policy Development and Implementation

  • Develop and implement clinical compliance workflows and standard operating procedures

  • Create and maintain clinical compliance calendars, deadlines, and tracking systems for student requirements

Clinical Site and Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Serve as primary contact for clinical sites regarding student compliance requirements and documentation

  • Coordinate with healthcare facilities to ensure students meet all facility-specific requirements before clinical rotations

  • Facilitate communication between nursing programs, clinical sites, and student health services

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with clinical placement coordination in nursing education

  • Background in student health services or healthcare compliance

  • Knowledge of immunization requirements, background check processes, and drug screening protocols

  • Project management experience

  • Knowledge of clinical placement requirements, healthcare facility standards, and student health compliance

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

  • Proficiency in data management and student information systems

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Target Compensation Maximum:

$89,483.00

Target Compensation Minimum:

$59,655.00

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
