Role and Responsibilities
The Sr. Director, Business Development will lead a team responsible for some of Samsung Ads’ most critical platform, demand and supply-side relationships. This role is central to shaping and executing our partnership strategy across the advertising ecosystem. Reporting to the SVP of Global Product, Engineering & Business Development, this role will oversee end-to-end deal lifecycles—from negotiation and contracting to execution and optimization—while identifying new, strategic revenue-driving opportunities that expand our market presence and value proposition.
This leader will be the external face of Samsung Ads to key partners and a trusted internal stakeholder, working cross-functionally with product, sales, legal, finance, and executive leadership to drive impactful outcomes. They will balance strategic vision with operational rigor, ensuring the team delivers against both long-term goals and day-to-day execution.
The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of the AdTech landscape, particularly in how publishers engage with ecosystem partners to expand their demand, supply, and data footprint. They will possess strategic vision and be an exceptional communicator, a sharp analytical thinker, and a strong people manager capable of mentoring a high-performing team. Success in this role requires comfort with complexity, decisiveness in ambiguity, and a hands-on approach to leadership in a fast-paced environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop a strategic vision for the expansion of Samsung’ advertising business thru added value strategic partnerships.
- Drive new and nurture existing end-to-end partnerships for Samsung Ads’ ad tech stack.
- Create new strategies for partnerships that will lead to commercial revenue success.
- Direct a substantial team through all phases of the deal lifecycle—from sourcing and negotiating to execution and ongoing partner management, fostering a culture of innovation and results.
- Oversee, mentor, and develop a high-performing team responsible for day-to-day partner execution and operations.
- Guide the team to strategically and proactively identify new business opportunities that drive incremental revenue, market share, or technical innovation for Samsung Ads.
- Apply exceptional negotiation skills to structure high-impact, scalable deals that balance partner needs with Samsung’s strategic and commercial priorities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, finance, sales, marketing, product, engineering, and executive leadership to align partnerships with business priorities.
- Lead the preparation and execution of legal agreements, including MSAs, renewals, and commercial amendments, in partnership with internal legal counsel.
- Monitor and optimize performance of active partnerships, ensuring operational excellence, efficient workflows,ROI, and the delivery of agreed-upon KPIs.
- Collaborate closely with peer BD leads in other regions to build a consistent partner ecosystem globally.
Skills and Qualifications
- Requires a minimum 16 years of related experience and a Bachelor's degree, or 14 years and a Master's degree.
- Deep experience in AdTech, with a strong focus on partnerships, business development, and strategy.
- Proven success leading end-to-end deal processes, including structuring, redlining, and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
- Deep understanding of the CTV and mobile advertising ecosystems, including major players, technologies, and monetization models.
- Demonstrated track record of people leadership, including managing, mentoring, and scaling high-performing teams.
- An established broad network of relationships within the ad-tech space.
- Exceptional executive communication skills—able to synthesize complex topics for senior stakeholders and represent the business externally with credibility.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills; able to evaluate new opportunities, develop hypotheses, and make data-informed decisions.
- Experience driving cross-functional initiatives across global organizations.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Innovator with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and comfort navigating ambiguity and roadblocks.
- Hybrid role – 3 days in-office required.

Compensation for this role is expected to be between $310,000 and $340,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
