This role makes an incredible impact on how our Influencer Marketing team functions and succeeds by providing excellent client and business development leadership and designing and implementing processes that improve ways of working. It provides the opportunity to help set the course for the team all in a supportive, people-first environment.

 

Key Accountabilities 

 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Overseeing a suite of multiple influencer marketing client accounts. 

  • Owning relationships with internal stakeholders (account team, sister agencies, etc.) to ensure your team is delivering the highest quality strategy recommendations and work. 

  • Taking the broader Dentsu Creative vision and using it to design systems, tools and processes that will help your team operate more efficiently and effectively.  

  • Helping troubleshoot and provide counsel for contracting or content issues that could negatively impact our team or clients. 

  • Owning responsibility for compliance (legal, FTC, client requirements, etc.) for your accounts.   

  • Fully leading and managing influencer marketing new business proposals and pitches, developing strategies, recommendations and presenting to potential new clients. 

  • Utilizing provided systems (Salesforce, Nexelus, Workfront, etc.) to track revenue and spot opportunities for increased efficiencies and business growth.  

  • Acting as a champion for the influencer marketing team as a representative in broader Dentsu meetings and new business pitches.  

  • Holding ultimate responsibility for meeting financial goals for your team.  

  • Partnering with your VP and other team leadership to set the strategic vision for your team and accounts.  

  • Acting as a conduit between the influencer marketing team and Dentsu Creative colleagues in an effort to grow our presence in Dentsu. 

  • Managing individuals at multiple levels, and be able to help bridge gaps between members, mitigate conflict, etc. 

  • Reporting financial success, challenges, and opportunities to leadership at regular intervals and developing strategies to fully leverage our current position to drive growth.  

 

Person Specification 

 

Our ideal candidate has:  

  • 7-10 years’ applicable experience. Agency experience is preferred.  

  • 5+ years account lead experience who can maintain positive relationships, deliver strategic council, and successfully troubleshoots client and internal issues 

  • 5+ years in the social/digital space as well as influencer marketing 

  • Knowledge of sound influencer contracting terms and conditions.  

  • Experience managing a multi-member team working across a broad book of business 

  • Knowledge of influencer marketing platforms as well as key performance metrics for paid/earned/owned media and analytics. 

  • Prior experience with influencer management platforms such as Creator IQ, Captiv8, or similar.  

  • Knowledge of paid media best practices 

  • Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce or other CRM is a big plus.  

  • Proven ability to grow business 

  • A commitment to helping your team and clients succeed.  

  • A team and people-focused attitude.  

  • An eagerness to learn from others within all levels of the organization.   

  • Comfort in a remote working environment.  

  • Open to coming into the office in select locations, if proximity allows. 

  • Ability to be self-sufficient while being reliable throughout the day through various communication channels.

Employees who live within a commutable distance of one of our hub offices, currently located in Chicago, metro Detroit, Los Angeles, and New York City, are required and expected to work from the office three days per week (two days per week for employees based in Los Angeles). Dentsu may designate other Hub offices at any time. Those who live outside a commutable range may be designated as remote, depending on the role and business needs. Regardless of your work location, we expect our employees to be flexible to meet the needs of our Company and clients, which may include attendance in an office.

The annual base salary range for this position is $113,000 - $182,850. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
