Position Summary-
The job's base will actually be in Green Bay at Bellin NICU (90% of FTE) with the other 10% FTE hrs at Fox Valley.
This job will be a mix of 8 hour (days) and 24 hour shifts and will include a weekend and holiday rotation.
Working in collaboration with neonatologists, NNP's are responsible for the day to day management of critically ill and convalescing infants in - leading care and coordinating the efforts of the health care team. This includes specialized neonatal care i.e. delivery room resuscitation, stabilization, initiation of infant treatment and necessary procedures, prescribing diagnostic testing, medications, and therapies, and providing family support. NNP's are in a leadership position in the NICU. Additional responsibilities include select nursing and medical staff education; consultation; advocacy for patients, families, and nursing staff; involvement in professional development and research; participation and leadership in unit committees and councils; improvement of unit-specific neonatal outcomes.
