About the Position
The Regional Safety Manager plays a critical leadership role in managing and executing Power Design’s safety program across assigned regions. This position ensures compliance with all safety standards, leads training initiatives, and partners with project and field teams to mitigate risk and promote a proactive safety culture. The Regional Safety Manager serves as a subject matter expert, collaborating with operations and quality control teams to identify potential hazards, implement solutions, and continuously improve Power Design’s safety performance.
Position Responsibilities
- Model and drive adherence to Power Design’s ZERO-IN safety standards and job site safety protocols
- Serve as a liaison between field management, corporate leadership, and customers to resolve immediate and long-term safety risks
- Conduct safety job walks and audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively
- Provide training and mentorship to field teams on safety procedures, documentation, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with Operations leadership to align safety initiatives with regional goals and project performance metrics
- Identify and communicate plusONE opportunities that enhance engagement, safety awareness, and team collaboration
- Demonstrate decision quality when assessing and responding to escalated or complex safety incidents
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, industry regulations, and Power Design safety policies
- Support onboarding and training of new hires to ensure a strong safety foundation across all teams
- Partner with the Quality Control department to coordinate joint site visits and reinforce shared accountability for job site excellence
Here’s What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of construction safety management experience, including leadership of regional or multi-site programs
- 3+ years in a Project Safety Specialist or equivalent role within Power Design preferred
- OSHA 30 and CPR/First Aid certifications required; CHST Certification preferred
- Minimum of Journeyman’s license required; STSC Certification recommended
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive safety culture improvements
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time
