Job Description
Maintains clinic flow, monitoring patient location and wait times, communicates with physicians and staff to maintain optimal clinic flow. Prepares exam rooms, directs patients to exam rooms and obtains/ documents patient weight, height and vital signs into Epic. Other duties may include cleaning, stocking rooms, general nursing assistant duties, collecting specimens, and phlebotomy. Greets patients, schedules appointments for incoming phone calls, and via work queues, following set MACC scheduling protocols, to determine level of need for all patients coming through our MACC Clinic/Day Hospital. Responsible for maintaining smooth and efficient flow of patients in clinic, performing functions delegated by nursing and physician staff and maintaining and promoting a safe, clean and organized environment for all patients.
- High school education required.
- Registered with the State of Wisconsin Registry for Nursing Assistants/Home Health Aides preferred.
- Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.
- One year of scheduling experience preferred.
- Previous experience in a pediatric healthcare environment preferred.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to gather and share information with physicians, patients, visitors, families and team members in a courteous and confidential manner.
- Knowledge of Epic preferred.
