Job Requirements:

  • High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) required.
  • Graduate of medical assistant program, preferred.
    • Certification or Registration (Clinical Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant, preferred.
  • Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.
  • Experience in a primary care /specialty care pediatric ambulatory setting highly preferred.
  • Experience in administering immunizations and other injections preferred.

Job Responsibilities

  • This position performs the functions of a Medical Assistant on a routine basis.
    • Performs a variety of assigned duties which promote a safe and organized environment for the delivery of services to children and their families within the clinic setting.
    • Performs Pre-Visit Planning prior to clinic appointments to ensure visit efficiencies and identify care gaps
    • Able to room patients,  collect and document patient information such as: vitals, measurements, health screenings, allergies, and home medications.
    • Assists the provider in the exam process, administers medications, immunizations and assists with procedures including capillary and peripheral blood draws as directed.

Clinic Schedule

  • Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 8:00-5:00pm
