Job Description:
The Senior Electrician will install and test all electrical systems associated with the production of skidded compressors and pumps as designed by the Sundyne Electrical Engineers and Controls Group.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Layout electrical installation as required by Sundyne drawings and 3D models
Install conduit or cable tray systems as designed
Install cabling in either conduit systems or cable tray
Identify and install field devices as necessary
Terminate all wiring at control cabinets, junction boxes, field devices, motors, etc., per electrical drawings
Connect all motors, VFD’s, and other electrical equipment required for testing purposes
Perform and assist in testing to include transmitter functional test, factory acceptance test, impedance test, etc.
Set up fail-safe procedures for functional testing at all test stands
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, equipment, components, etc. associated with production
Install and maintain equipment associated with test stands, including repairs and upgrades; be familiar with all control systems for test stands
Ability to manage and coordinate additional electricians (contractors) as required
May be required to flex into building maintenance during either slow production times or for specific required building projects (must be capable to perform troubleshooting, maintenance, installation as needed)
Job requires constant standing, walking, and working in awkward positions during installation
Qualifications
Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
Must possess and maintain a valid Journeyman’s License (minimum) issued by the State of Colorado
Minimum 5 years of related experience
Must be able to work in team and individual settings
Ability to read and comprehend engineered drawings
Must be able to communicate/coordinate with others during installation (supervisors, installers, engineers, etc.)
Experience and familiarity with building systems and production equipment, including switchgear, disconnects, panelboards, control cabinets/systems, VFD’s, etc.
Familiar with applicable domestic and international codes, including NEC, Atex, IeCEX, etc.
Certifications in: NFPA 70e, Arc Flash Hazard training, CPR, Platform work, hoisting and rigging
Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring
Ability to use hand tools and power tools

Compensation Details
Hourly: $30.00 - $38.00Additional Compensation
The hourly range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
