Assist with research on cancer immunology, tumor biology, and immune responses in prostate, bladder, kidney, and testicular cancers using in vitro, in vivo and in silico approaches. Perform experiments using advanced lab techniques such as flow cytometry, single-cell analysis, and tissue imaging. Perform routine in vivo / lab animal experiments including immune cell isolation, cancer cell inoculation, tumor growth measurement and treatment administration. Collect and process human tissue and blood samples, prepare lab materials and solutions, and keep accurate records of all work.
Support data analysis and contribute to preparation of figures and results for research publications, grant submissions, and presentations. Research relevant scientific literature to support ongoing and future experiments.
Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments such as microscopes, centrifuges, and flow cytometers. Help train and guide junior lab personnel, including students and research aides, in laboratory methods and equipment use. Assist with inventory management and ordering of laboratory supplies. Perform other duties as assigned to support the research mission.

The OSUCCC – features a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer center aligned with a nationally ranked academic medical center and a freestanding cancer hospital on the campus of one of the nation’s largest public universities. The OSUCCC – James Pelotonia Institute for Immuno-Oncology (PIIO) is a comprehensive bench-to-bedside research initiative focused on harnessing the body’s immune system to fight cancer at all levels —from prevention to treatment and survivorship.
