Job Description:

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree (will consider Spring 2026 graduation if able to start remotely)

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated passion for baseball and a knowledge of the industry landscape

  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in SQL and/or other programs used for data analysis and visualization (advanced proficiency is a plus)

  • Strong attention to detail and a growth mindset

  • Ability to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Familiarity with the rules and current trends in player evaluation and acquisition

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide departmental support for key transactional decisions and dates, including (but not limited to) the trade deadline, waiver claims, free agent signings, and the Rule 5 draft

  • Produce detailed player evaluations for a variety of professional players

  • Foster communication with other department to ensure consistent interdepartmental collaboration and synergies

  • Monitor the professional player universe to assist in formulation and maintenance of target lists

  • Help oversee the accuracy of the data sources and databases used within the Player Personnel department; assist with data mapping to ensure quality control

  • Complete ad hoc research studies and retrospective analyses

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of decision-making tools, outputs, and presentations

  • Serve as point of contact for certain administrative and logistical departmental needs

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000
