Job Summary:
The Ohio State University is seeking applications for the position of Project Manager, in the Enterprise for Research, Innovation, and Knowledge (ERIK). The position reports to the Senior Project Manager for Research Operations.
The ERIK Project Manager (PM) will facilitate internal projects from proposal to inception to post-implementation monitoring. The candidate will be accountable for developing collaborative relationships with internal and external partners. Assist with identifying process improvement opportunities and working with ERIK team members and cross-functional partners to drive continuous improvement efforts, and operational efficiencies.
The PM will work with ERIK team members to implement software applications to streamline business processes. PM will be responsible for coordinating project planning, managing project resources, requesting and managing project budgets, organizing and participating in project meetings and ensuring all deadlines for projects are met. The PM will manage project-related documentation and ensure all necessary materials are current and properly stored. The PM will partner with subject matter experts to ensure applications meet the requirements of the business units.
The PM will be responsible for managing and/or coordinating ERIK day-to-day business processes. Develop, review, update and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for business processes that adhere to university policies and compliance standards.
The PM will provide administrative and calendar support to ERIK leadership. Support ERIK leadership by coordinating and staffing meetings.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years of experience in higher education and/or research administration project management with experience in a complex organization with expertise in problem solving, monitoring for results, and delivery of reports.
Demonstrated excellence in communication, ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Requires successful completion of background check.
Desired Qualifications:
Four years or more of project management experience.
Experience in working collaboratively in a complex organization.
Experience with Workday.
Experience with Smartsheet or other Project Management tools.
Experience with budget planning.

The pay range for this job opening is $64,900.00 - $84,850.00. The salary offer for this position will fall within this range based on the candidate's qualifications, internal equity, and the unit's available budget, which will be the primary determining factor.
This role is an opportunity to support and engage with the research community across campus. The individual in this role will be most successful being flexible and adaptable to competing project priorities directed by our leadership. We also work as a team on-site, and while hours may vary, the individual will be expected to be available during standard business hours (Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.).
