Under general supervision the HVAC-Facilities Building Sys Tech Lead performs advanced-level tasks to ensure a safe, comfortable, and operational environment across university facilities. Responsibilities include inspecting, troubleshooting, calibrating, repairing, and replacing building systems and equipment. Responds to emergency situations (electrical, mechanical, medical gas), evaluates issues, and initiates corrective actions or escalation protocols. Supports other trades, distributes work orders, and maintains clean and safe work areas. Communicates effectively with stakeholders and provides high-level customer service. May operate department vehicles and perform other duties as assigned.
Work schedule, shift, location, and hours are subject to change based on operational needs and in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. May work overtime and be subject to 24-hour emergency call.
The Target Hiring Range for this position is $31.05 - $38.82 per hour.
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
