The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of the club’s facilities. This role supports daily housekeeping operations while assisting with basic maintenance tasks to ensure a high standard of presentation and functionality throughout the club. The Porter plays an important role in creating a welcoming and well-maintained environment for members, guests, and staff.
Housekeeping Duties
Maintain cleanliness of all clubhouse areas including locker rooms, restrooms, dining areas, hallways, offices, and common spaces.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces regularly.
Clean windows, mirrors, fixtures, and furniture.
Maintain cleanliness of outdoor patios, entryways, and walkways.
Maintenance Support
Perform basic maintenance tasks such as light bulb replacement, minor repairs, and equipment setup.
Assist with facility inspections and report maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.
Help with room setups and breakdowns for club events and activities.
Maintain storage areas, maintenance closets, and cleaning equipment.
Assist grounds or maintenance staff when needed.
Operational Support
Ensure the facility meets the club’s standards of cleanliness and presentation at all times.
Respond promptly to housekeeping or maintenance requests from management or staff.
Follow all safety procedures and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Support special events with setup, cleanup, and facility readiness.
Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or facilities experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies.
Ability to perform minor maintenance tasks.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40–50 lbs regularly.
Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and operate cleaning equipment.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
Part-time position available.
Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on club operations.
This position operates within a private club environment where professionalism and a member-first service attitude are essential.
