The department of Entomology seeks a term Research Technician III in the research programs of Drs. Gardiner and Ward, for approximately 40 hours/week for one year with a possible extension up to three years.
This position will support NSF sponsored projects including site maintenance, GIS analyses, analysis of data, and writing of scientific research manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals. Other duties include but are not limited to creating extension materials, ordering supplies, training/onboarding, and maintaining lab safety and protocols.
This position will support the Ward lab with data analysis in R, RStudio, and ArcGIS, as well as preparation of research manuscripts for publication in peerreviewed journals.
Additional duties as assigned.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
Master's degree desired. 2-3 years of relevant experience required. Experience with R and ArcGIS analysis is required.
Position located on the Ohio State Columbus campus.
