The Ohio State University College of Dentistry seeks a Graduate Student for its Graduate Teaching Associate (GTA) in the Advanced Education program in Orthodontics.​ 

​​The Graduate Teaching Associate (GTA) in the Advanced Education Program in Orthodontics is a part-time position intended to provide an expanded knowledge base in orthodontics and provide clinical care experience to pre-doctoral dental student. GTAs in the Orthodontics Program oversee dental students in their technique training/ development in preclinical courses and in the care of patients in the Orthodontic and Emergency clinics.  They also participate in learning activities with the dental students, research and research interaction with dental students, and presentations at professional meetings. All GTAs at the College of Dentistry are expected to: provide a high level of service to patients, promote inter-professional teamwork and cooperative effort, maintain safe clinical practices, and abide by the college’s policies and procedures. 

Required Qualifications:

D.D.S. or D.M.D.; graduation from an accredited dental school and eligible for post-graduate approved training; required to be eligible to obtain a training certificate, required to be American Heart Association certified in ACLS training. Must obtain an Ohio Dental License or Limited Resident’s License with the Ohio State Dental Board. Must be accepted into residency program through match process.

College Information:

The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is the fourth largest public dental school in the United States and it is the only public dental school in Ohio. The college is divided into ten divisions with all major ADA-recognized dental specialties represented. The College has approximately 600 students in its undergraduate, professional, and graduate programs.
