Schedule & Locations

  • Monday–Friday, daytime hours – No nights, weekends, or on-call responsibilities.
  • Primary Location: Advocate Christ Medical Center (Oak Lawn, IL).
  • Additional Coverage: Advocate Trinity Hospital and Advocate South Suburban Hospital, plus outpatient AMG clinics.
  • Role includes inpatient rounding on peripheral vascular patients and collaboration with physicians across hospital sites, as well as outpatient clinic visits for cardiovascular and vascular patients.

Pay Range

$53.80 - $80.70

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Management:

  • Diagnose and manage vascular and interventional cardiology conditions using evidence-based practices, cost-effective strategies, and thorough risk-benefit assessments.
  • Provide health promotion, disease prevention, and chronic disease management counseling to patients and families.

Collaborative Care:

  • Function as an integral member of an interdisciplinary team, consulting with physicians and other healthcare professionals as needed.
  • Escalate care appropriately for emergent or specialized interventions.

Procedures & Documentation:

  • Perform office and hospital-based procedures within granted privileges and competency standards.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record and ensure compliance with coding and billing practices.

Care Coordination:

  • Facilitate seamless communication among healthcare team members and community agencies to ensure continuity of care.

Professional Development & Leadership:

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, safety programs, and peer review activities.
  • Contribute to onboarding and education of new team members, students, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Engage in ongoing learning to maintain and advance clinical expertise.

Minimum Qualifications

Licensure/Certification:

  • Active RN and APRN/APNP license(s) in state(s) of practice.
  • National board certification in area of clinical practice and population served.
  • Active DEA registration prior to hire; Illinois applicants require Controlled Substance License.
  • Current BLS and ACLS (or PALS/NRP as required) within 6 months of hire.​

Education:

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing required.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in cardiology preferred with an acute care certification

  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and evolving healthcare technology.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and twist throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist and 20 lbs overhead.
  • Functional speech, vision, touch, and hearing required.
