The HR Director, DC Operations, is a senior HR leader responsible for driving the long-term people strategy for Distribution Center (DC) Operations. This role is a partner to the VPs of Distribution to deliver organizational development initiatives, workforce optimization, and leadership development programs that enable operational excellence. The HR Director ensures alignment between business priorities and HR strategy, while also leading cross-functional initiatives in partnership with the Director of DC - HR Organizational Development & Strategy as well as the corporate HR team. This role provides oversight, drives accountability for HR deliverables, and leverages workforce data and insights to influence business outcomes. Additionally, this role will have oversight and accountability for the labor relations strategy across the organization.

HR Leadership

Serve as HR Partner to the VPs of Distribution, providing strategic counsel and partnership on people strategy.

Lead the team of 7 Regional HR Managers supporting each region of the DC Network.

Co-Lead the development, communication, and execution of the DC People Strategy, ensuring alignment to business objectives.

Act as a liaison to corporate HR for all enterprise-wide initiatives impacting DC Operations.

Drive and mature an enterprise labor relations strategy.

Skills & Competencies

Ability to partner with executives and influence strategic business outcomes.

Skilled at aligning HR strategies with operational and enterprise goals.

Knowledge of job architecture, talent calibration, and career pathing.

Strong experience designing and implementing leadership development programs.

Expertise in workforce planning, dynamic staffing models, and organizational optimization.

Strong analytical skills; ability to leverage HR data to influence business decisions and drive cost efficiencies.

Proven ability to design and lead change management communications for large-scale initiatives.

Strong facilitation and storytelling skills to engage leaders and team members in transformation.

Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with SVPs, VPs, corporate HR, and operational leaders.

Skilled at balancing enterprise alignment with localized execution needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or Business (Master’s preferred).

10+ years of HR leadership with emphasis on organizational development, workforce strategy, or talent management.

Strong background in compensation strategy, job architecture, and career development frameworks.

Experience supporting large-scale operations in distribution, manufacturing, or logistics including union environments.

Travel

40% - Approximately 2 weeks per month
