Assistant Hall Director assists with coordination of building and community aspects of a residence hall or complex, developing a supportive student community that is academically and social engaging; helps to plan and organize community development programs, assists in hiring, training, supervising and evaluating student staff, supports student learning through the Residential Curriculum. Advises residents on social, academic, and behavioral concerns; includes evening and weekend hours and on call duty.
This position is a live-in position. Staff members are required to reside in their university provided apartments unless approved to be away overnight or on-leave.
Required: Bachelor’s degree, enrollment in a graduate program at a college or university, previous work in a student affairs related position.
Desired: Previous Residence Life experience.
