The Office of Investments is looking to hire a full-time Investment Associate that will support the group’s efforts to generate strong risk adjusted returns for the Long-Term Investment Pool/Endowment. As part of a small and collaborative team, the Investment Associate will work with the Associate Vice President & Managing Director to manage the illiquid investment allocations, including developing and recommending portfolio construction strategies, sourcing of new investment opportunities (partnership investments and co-investments), analyzing, performing due diligence, negotiating, and recommending investments, monitoring investment activities and participating on advisory committees. The Investment Associate will lead and participate in meetings with a talented roster of external managers located across the globe and assist in evaluating and monitoring them using rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis. The Investment Associate will be an integral part of the investment process and gain broad exposure to investment strategy, portfolio construction and financial markets The Investment Associate will provide guidance to Investments Analysts and assist in preparing materials for presentations to the Board of Trustees and other University-affiliated groups. In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, Investment Associates participate in a long-term incentive pool, which rewards team members for strong investment performance as well as quantitative and qualitative contributions to the team.
This is an in-person role based at the Ohio State University’s main campus in Columbus, Ohio. The team is in office Monday through Thursday with the flexibility for remote work on Fridays.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in management, finance, business, or a related field. Minimum of six (6) years of investment management experience acquired through private markets investing (LP role, co-investment, principal investor, investment banking, legal or other applicable discipline). Strong computing and quantitative skills. Extensive knowledge of financial and investment theory and practice, including quantitative methods. Excellent writing and communication skills. Ability to make detailed presentations to both internal and external investment entities. Ability to be an integral team member and thrive in a team environment while demonstrating leadership and initiative. Proficiency in MS Office and skilled in analytics and modeling. Experienced working with relational databases and manager track record and performance and services. Advanced abilities with Microsoft Excel. Self-motivated, detail oriented, commitment to ethical behavior and professionalism. Ability and willingness to travel globally. Requires successful completion of a background check.
Desired Qualifications:
MBA, CFA or CAIA. Eight to twelve (8-12) years of relevant experience.

The Target Hiring Range for this position is $151,300 to $197,650 per year.
In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, Investment Associates participate in a long-term incentive pool, which includes a maximum incentive opportunity of 100% of base salary and rewards team members for strong investment performance as well as quantitative and qualitative contributions to the team.
