Research Technician will conduct experiments related to one or more laboratory projects and to process and analyze experimental results; maintain laboratory cell culture facility including routine passage of human cancer cell lines; designs and conducts biochemical and cellular pharmacological experiments to assess activity of newly synthesized compounds as inhibitors of bacterial and human type 2 Topoisomerases; maintains laboratory notebooks and electronic files; compiles laboratory results and summarize same in final figures, tables, and graphs using commercial software.

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED. 1 year of relevant experience required.

Desired Experience:  

A Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate biological/health science or an equivalent combination of education and experience is highly desired. Undergraduate research experience and/or work related experience of 1 year or less.

Pay Range:

The pay range for this job profile is $15.86/hour - $20.74/hour. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications. This position is paid hourly.
