The Technical Engineer II coordinates technical strategy between cross-functional teams, drives teams to solve complex technical problems and is a team thought leader. The Technical Engineer II designs large-scale solutions, highly scalable systems and is an expert in data, operating systems and cloud technologies.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead, design, and implement enterprise-level, secure, and resilient technology solutions.

• Package these solutions with auditing, alerting, and high availability while transforming business visions into innovative, customer-ready solutions.

• Provide escalation support to technical engineers and administrators, fostering collaboration, innovation, and superior results.

• Lead operational initiatives, including communication, technical direction, and process improvements.

• Prioritize work based on value and customer input; implement solutions both on-premises and in the cloud.

• Develop prototypes, proof of concepts, and deployment strategies, leveraging best practices in continuous integration and delivery.

• Champion culture, values, and trust within the team, maintaining professionalism and integrity in all interactions.

• Act as subject matter expert for IT Security, leading audits, reviews, and compliance initiatives across departments.

• Coordinate security-related activities with BES and Maritz Security teams, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

• 4–6 years of experience in IT infrastructure, engineering, or a related field.

• Proven success in leading technical teams and driving projects to completion.

• Strong infrastructure background, including experience with:

  • Data platforms, operating systems, storage, virtualization, networking, load balancing

  • Cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

  • Tools such as O365, Citrix, and end-user technologies

• Strong understanding or interest in IT Security initiatives, business impact analysis, and remediation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication, coordination, and project management skills.

• A customer-centric mindset, with the ability to listen, understand, and respond to client needs.

• Willingness to be available after hours as needed for on-call support.

Nice to Have

• Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or Security+.

• Experience in automation, DevOps, or CI/CD pipelines.

• Exposure to auditing or compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001, etc.).

• Experience in enterprise transformation or modernization initiatives.
