Responsibilities
Meet with patients or caregivers before and/or after admission to exchange required information and answer questions.
Communicate with physicians’ offices, nursing units, and other staff to coordinate patient placement and admissions.
Verify insurance benefits, obtain authorizations, and confirm medical necessity when required.
Collect co-pays, deductibles, and coinsurance payments, or refer patients to financial counselors as needed.
Ensure accurate and timely entry of demographic, billing, and clinical information into the registration system.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience in healthcare registration, admissions, or billing is helpful but not required.
Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
