Responsibilities
• Greet patients and caregivers, explain the intake process, answer questions
• Accurately register patients and capture required demographic, billing, and clinical information
• Verify insurance, obtain authorizations, and check medical necessity
• Collect copays, deductibles, and coinsurance or refer to financial counseling
• Coordinate with unit staff to support timely placement and reduce delays
• Meet productivity, quality, and privacy standards
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in registration, billing, scheduling, or customer service preferred
• Working knowledge of insurance and authorizations a plus
• Strong data entry, communication, and teamwork skills
