• Greets patients, answers phones, and provides general assistance to support smooth department operations.
• Schedules appointment times using computerized scheduling systems and confirms availability of facilities and staff.
• Verifies insurance benefits, obtains precertification or authorization when required, and determines or accepts payments including co-pays and deductibles. Refers to financial counselors as needed.
• Ensures all demographic, billing, and clinical information is collected accurately and entered promptly into the registration system.
• Collaborates with clinical and administrative staff to coordinate patient flow and maintain a positive experience for patients and visitors.
Requirements
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in a medical or administrative office setting preferred.
