Job Description
Greets and assists patients, visitors, and staff in a courteous and professional manner, providing accurate information and directions as needed.
Completes patient registration, insurance verification, and scheduling in accordance with department protocols and compliance requirements.
Collects and posts payments, maintains accurate records, and assists with billing or insurance questions.
Coordinates communication between patients, clinical staff, and providers to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
Maintains confidentiality of all patient and organizational information in compliance with HIPAA standards.
Supports department operations by managing phone calls, messages, and appointment reminders, and by updating electronic medical records accurately.
Participates in team meetings and contributes to process improvement initiatives that support MaineGeneral’s mission and values.
