The Impact Analyst is a key integrator for the Impact & Strategy team, providing essential coordination across projects, processes, and information. This role ensures the team operates effectively by managing daily operations related to grants and budgets, tracking key project outcomes, and coordinating team engagements and initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives, the Analyst drives team-wide coherence by creating accurate documentation, planning logistics, and supporting compliance. This position works collaboratively to advance the Foundation’s goal of fostering economic prosperity for under-resourced communities in the Kansas City Region.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
Gather, organize, track, store, and centralize external and internal data. Ensure that this data is the central source of truth for the team.
Serve as a data translator for the team by gathering, organizing, and presenting information in a manner that supports effective decision making.
Complete daily processes related to grants and budget management, data, reporting, and compliance, in collaboration with other internal functions as needed.
Ensure complete and accurate documentation, reports, presentations, and dashboards to support tracking and communication of team priorities and goals.
Plan and coordinate engagements, initiatives, and programs, including organizing events, materials, or activities.
Track ad-hoc data requests from external stakeholders, identifying themes, and recommending new data systems that address consistent needs.
Support the use and integration of data across Foundation systems, e.g., Salesforce, Fluxx, and PowerBI
Support and facilitate team culture by coordinating and planning related activities with an eye toward compliance and budget limitations, e.g., birthday celebrations.
Assist with travel, including agreements, payments, and event coordination as assigned.
Complete tasks in compliance with all company and departmental policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Support the team’s grant-making processes and strategic priority work in an environment that fosters accountability and continuous improvement.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education: Bachelor’s degree in education, nonprofit management, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Work Experience: At least three years of experience in operations analysis, project coordination, program support, or administrative roles within philanthropy, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations. Prior experience working in roles that support multiple team members and/or managing complex scheduling and reporting responsibilities is preferred.
Travel: This position may require occasional business travel.
