Deckorators, a UFP Industries brand, is a leader in composite decking, railing, and outdoor living products. We’re opening our newest and flagship extrusion and polymer manufacturing facility in Buffalo, NY, powered by our proven and growing Surestone technology. We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to help us build it from the ground up.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and mentor the engineering team, including quality and maintenance, creating a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

• Oversee extrusion and polymer manufacturing processes to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.

• Manage equipment installation, commissioning, and production scale-up during plant startup.

• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for long-term success.

• Partner with R&D and Product Development to bring new formulations and technologies to life.

• Collaborate with Operations to achieve production and business goals.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related).

• 7–10 years of engineering experience in extrusion, polymers, or plastics manufacturing.

• Proven operations and plant leadership experience.

• 3+ years managing and developing teams.

• Hands-on knowledge of extrusion equipment and polymer material properties.

• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.

Compensation & Benefit Information
Salary Pay Range:  $110,000-$135,000 annually dependent on experience*
*pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living  

Bonus/Incentive Pay: 

A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
