About the Role
As a Maintenance Mechanic I, you’ll play a key role in keeping our machinery, equipment, and facilities in top working condition. You’ll handle routine preventative maintenance, assist with repairs, and help ensure a safe, efficient, and productive work environment. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on experience who wants to grow their technical skill set and be part of a supportive team.
What You’ll Do
Perform regular preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, tools, and the facility.
Assist with repairs on woodworking machinery, infeed/outfeed systems, hand tools, and forklifts—using diagrams, manuals, and manufacturer specs.
Help track, order, and organize necessary supplies and parts.
Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
Follow all established safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
Participate in safety, continuous improvement (CI), and department meetings.
(If assigned to the Treating Department) Follow all hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures.
What You Bring
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience in machine repair or industrial maintenance.
Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, control systems, and basic welding.
Understanding of safe equipment practices and applicable rules and regulations.
Familiarity with hazardous waste/material handling procedures.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Hourly Pay Range: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour dependent on experience*
