The financial navigator conducts comprehensive financial assessments.
Identifies patients at risk for financial toxicity.
Coordinates with federal and state programs (e.g., Medicaid, disability).
Ensures compliance with HIPAA, consent guidelines, and physician order requirements.
Collaborates with clinical teams, billing, and social work.
Maintains accurate documentation and contribute to workflow improvements ·
Attends physician meet and greets, collaborating to ensure coverage, leading to department growth.
Monday thru Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Education/Experience Required:
BS in Social Work, Finance or Care Management or related field; 3 years managed care experience or 2 + years in oncology care or 3 years customer service experience; claims experience and provider office experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
-Excellent communication and presentation skills -ability to suceed in a changing environment -ability to work independently and prioritize assignments -ability to problem solves and handle difficult calls/situations and maintain professionalism -Excellent organizational skills -Strong analytic skills

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Employee must be familiar with Federal and State managed care programs; Physician order requirements, consent for treatment guidelines, HIPAA, etc. Customer service background essential, with understanding of and commitment to providing a consistently high-level of service to patients and their families. May be exposed to patients with contagious diseases. Candidate must self direct priorities and balance the clinical coordination with financial navigation responsibilities.
