As an intern in the Mission:Dignity department, you’ll play a key role in supporting the recipient relations team. This hands-on opportunity offers exposure to nonprofit operations, donor and recipient engagement, and program coordination. You’ll assist with administrative tasks, special projects, and communications that directly impact the lives of Mission:Dignity recipients.

What You'll Do

  • Support daily operations including office supply inventory, expense reports, and calendar management.

  • Research special assistance requests and recommend actions to the Operations Manager.

  • Advocate for recipients and their families regarding public assistance benefits.

  • Assist with donor and recipient care initiatives.

  • Manage mail operations and help facilitate volunteer programs.

  • Maintain accurate calendars for Mission:Dignity leadership.

  • Contribute to periodic reports and Trustee Meeting preparations.

  • Collaborate with other departments to share updates on program guidelines and benefits.

  • Participate in promotional efforts and special projects for Mission:Dignity.

  • Maintain current knowledge of program policies and services.

  • Handle sensitive communications with recipients and donors.

  • Perform other duties as assigned, including occasional overtime.

What You'll Need

  • Must be an incoming Junior or Senior

  • Must be a student for the duration of the intern program

  • Minimum of 3.0 GPA

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn internal systems.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

  • Self-starter with excellent organizational skills.

  • Understanding of Southern Baptist polity and organizational structure (preferred).

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Creative, enthusiastic, and motivated with a strong work ethic.

  • Team-oriented and adaptable to shifting priorities.
