As an intern in the Mission:Dignity department, you’ll play a key role in supporting the recipient relations team. This hands-on opportunity offers exposure to nonprofit operations, donor and recipient engagement, and program coordination. You’ll assist with administrative tasks, special projects, and communications that directly impact the lives of Mission:Dignity recipients.
What You'll Do
Support daily operations including office supply inventory, expense reports, and calendar management.
Research special assistance requests and recommend actions to the Operations Manager.
Advocate for recipients and their families regarding public assistance benefits.
Assist with donor and recipient care initiatives.
Manage mail operations and help facilitate volunteer programs.
Maintain accurate calendars for Mission:Dignity leadership.
Contribute to periodic reports and Trustee Meeting preparations.
Collaborate with other departments to share updates on program guidelines and benefits.
Participate in promotional efforts and special projects for Mission:Dignity.
Maintain current knowledge of program policies and services.
Handle sensitive communications with recipients and donors.
Perform other duties as assigned, including occasional overtime.
What You'll Need
Must be an incoming Junior or Senior
Must be a student for the duration of the intern program
Minimum of 3.0 GPA
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn internal systems.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with excellent organizational skills.
Understanding of Southern Baptist polity and organizational structure (preferred).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Creative, enthusiastic, and motivated with a strong work ethic.
Team-oriented and adaptable to shifting priorities.
