The Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation team at Carolinas Rehabilitation – Northeast delivers comprehensive inpatient and ambulatory rehabilitation care for patients recovering from complex medical, neurological, and functional conditions. Our multidisciplinary team provides evidence-based treatment, continuity of care, and a collaborative environment where APPs partner closely with physicians to support patients across the full rehab spectrum.

About the Opportunity
• Full-time, Monday–Friday, day schedule (no nights)
• Hybrid inpatient and ambulatory role supporting a diverse PM&R patient population
• Average patient load ~12; inpatient responsibility includes assisting with daily rounding, functional assessments, care planning, and coordination
• Approximately 2–3 daily admissions shared across the practice
• Join a collegial, well-supported practice consisting of 3 physicians and 1 APP
• Open ICU environment; procedures not required
• Call rotation: 8 weekends per year, shared across the full provider group
• Collaborative interdisciplinary care model with therapy, nursing, case management, and specialty providers

• Sign-on bonus range: $5,000–$10,000, 2-year earn-out
• Academic engagement opportunities available through the Wake Forest University School of Medicine (faculty appointments anticipated)

Ideal Candidate
• Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program
• Minimum 1 year of clinical APP experience required
• Prior experience in rehabilitation, hospital medicine, neurology, internal medicine, or acute care preferred
• Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license required
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary practice
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to high-quality patient-centered rehabilitation care
