Scheduled Hours: 7 pm to 7 am - and every other weekend
Job Summary:
Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion and skilled dialogue, the registered nurse leads efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience. The nurse delivers and coordinates patient-centered care across the continuum to support the successful transition of patients to other healthcare delivery systems or their home communities. The registered nurse is responsible for providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the appropriate utilization of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation, in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures.
Neurology Stroke Telemetry Unit provides nursing care for a wide scope of neurological, surgical and medical care patient populations. AAH Lutheran is a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 1 Trauma Hospital with a high acuity of neurological patients and cutting edge interventions serving the Northwest side of Chicago and it’s surrounding areas. While specializing in the neuro patient population, telemetry monitoring provides a specialty population with exposure to a variety of medical, surgical and traumatic diagnoses On 10Tower the Nursing team responds to Medical Stroke Alerts with the Rapid the Response Team both on inpatient units and in the ED. 10Tower is a warm, support environment for nurses who want to develop their skills in a fast-paced, ever-changing setting.
