General Manager Position
The Bark Spot – Logan, Utah
The Bark Spot, a premier dog boarding, daycare, and grooming facility in Logan, Utah, is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee daily operations and lead our team.
This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a self-motivated professional with a strong background in management and operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial performance, staff leadership, facility standards, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Financial & Administrative
- Manage labor, expenses, and inventory to achieve profitability targets
- Prepare and review payroll, ensure accurate time-clock compliance
- Provide regular performance updates and recommendations to ownership
- Identify and implement operational efficiencies
Team Leadership
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of staff
- Schedule and delegate effectively while maintaining accountability
- Address performance and interpersonal issues promptly and professionally
- Be available for occasional on-call situations (e.g., covering urgent staffing needs)
Operations & Customer Experience
- Ensure the facility remains clean, safe, and well-maintained at all times
- Oversee the safety and well-being of every dog in our care
- Uphold the highest standards of customer service
- Resolve client concerns quickly and professionally
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of management experience in retail, hospitality, restaurant, customer service, veterinary, or dog daycare/boarding operations
- Proven ability to control costs, manage teams, and improve processes
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple priorities
- Genuine affinity for dogs; prior experience in dog care industry preferred
- Reliable, professional, and able to work Monday–Saturday (40-hour schedule)
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary starting at $45,000+, negotiable based on experience
