As a Skilled Trades Worker II
As a Skilled Trades Worker III
Work Hours:
Skilled Trades Worker II: Starting Pay: $22.14 (Step 1) Potential higher pay (steps) for those with multiple years of experience.
High School Diploma or its equivalent.
Three (3) years of experience in applicable trades which include work in the water/wastewater collection field and or experience performing pump, valve, or hydraulic system repair and maintenance including electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
The ability to acquire a Class "A" CDL with air brake endorsement within six (6) months at the time of hire. Paid for by Sarasota County!
Valid Florida Driver's License at the time of hire.
Skilled Trades Worker III: Starting Pay: $24.42 (Step 1) Potential higher pay (steps) for those with multiple years of experience.
High School Diploma or its equivalent.
Six (6) years of experience in applicable trades which include work in the water/wastewater collection field and or experience performing pump, valve, or hydraulic system repair and maintenance including electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
The ability to acquire a Class "A" CDL with air brake endorsement within six (6) months at the time of hire. Paid for by Sarasota County!
Valid Florida Driver's License at the time of hire.
Physical Demands: Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.
