Job Description:

What’s the role 

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a genuine interest in energy, technology, and a passion to deliver products for a growing company.  

As the Sr. Finance Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our organization’s financial strategy and driving growth. Your expertise will be critical in managing financial operations, optimizing budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Your oversight will include credit management, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and commercial finance. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and as a member of the extended leadership team, you’ll provide strategic insights, identify opportunities for cost savings, and contribute to long-term financial planning. Your leadership will guide our financial decision-making, enabling us to achieve our ambitious growth goals and maintain financial stability.  

This position will report to the B2B Finance Manager. The role requires a self-motivated, dedicated, and responsible individual with the ability to perform well under pressure. 

 

Accountabilities: 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business performance and enhance financial processes 

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators, providing insights for informed decision-making 

  • Present and create reporting of financial information to senior leadership and key stakeholders 

  • Contribute to the setting of financial goals and strategies to achieve sustainable growth 

  • Navigate complex financial landscapes and provide guidance on financial matters 

  • Drive innovation, digital enhancement, and continuous improvement  

  • Lead and mentor the credit team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture 

  • Develop and execute the organization’s financial strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives 

  • Manage financial risks, including credit risk, liquidity risk, and market risk 

  • Develop comprehensive financial plans, forecasts, and latest estimates aligned with organizational goals 

  • Collaborate with our sales and marketing teams to evaluate pricing strategies, assess profitability, and optimize resource allocation. Your insights will directly impact our go-to-market approach and revenue generation 

  • Lead our credit management function, ensuring prudent risk assessment, credit approval processes, and portfolio management. Your team will work closely with sales and customer service to strike the right balance between revenue growth and risk mitigation 

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiency across the team to all processes 

  • Other duties as assigned 

 

 

What you bring  

 

  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or finance or related field preferred. 

  • 7+ years prior experience in corporate finance, valuation, or related experience 

  • Proven leadership skills in managing finance teams and fostering a collaborative culture 

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals 

  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis. 

  • Experience managing credit risk, liquidity risk, and other financial risks. 

  • Ability to navigate and provide guidance on complex financial landscapes 

  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and a high level of integrity in financial reporting 

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Outlook, and strong Excel skills. Power BI experience is strongly preferred 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; must be able to provide timely and accurate data analysis 

  • Strong business writing skills and experience developing communication in various formats 

  • Learner mindset and eye for continuous improvement needs. 

  • Organization and time management skills, with the ability to maintain a strict level of attention to detail 

  • Ability to work well within a team environment and demonstrate a vested interest in team goals and objectives 

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships 

  • Self-motivated with the desire to consistently improve performance and gain further knowledge 

  • Ability to meet deadlines, learn quickly, and demonstrate effective problem solving and follow-up skills 

  • Comply with company policies and procedures 

 

 

 

What we offer 

 

The base salary range for this position is $138,000 - $208,000 per year Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity. 

 

For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents. 

 

Additionally, employees are eligible for short-term disability leave for up to 26 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay as well as Long-Term Disability insurance.
