What’s the role
We are seeking a highly motivated leader with a strong interest in energy and technology and a passion for supporting a growing business. The Sales Support Team Lead is a critical role responsible for overseeing the commercial support of all retail sales account activities pre-contract execution. This includes the timely and accurate generation and processing of Master Sales Agreements and Transaction Confirmations across all markets served by SES, including PJM, ERCOT, NYISO, ISONE, and CAISO.
The Sales Support Team Lead role provides guidance on complex transactions and supports team members in addressing internal/external stakeholder inquiries related to all pre-deal activities within the system of record. The Sales Support Team Lead is accountable for driving high performance standards, delivering exceptional internal and external customer service, and continuously improving the Sales Support team processes.
Reporting to the B2B Commercial Lead, this role requires a self-motivated, dedicated, and accountable professional who can perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Accountabilities:
Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and training materials to build and sustain a best-in-class Sales Support organization
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Sales Support team focused on delivering exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders
Drive business process optimization initiatives to improve broker and customer experience through the timely and accurate generation and processing of Master Service Agreements, Transaction Confirmations and other pre-deal related activities
Establish and continuously refine cross-functional processes, service level agreements (SLAs), and performance metrics across internal partner teams
Deliver weekly performance and operational metrics to senior leadership, including insights, trend analysis, and recommendations for continuous improvement
Analyze Sales Support performance data and staffing requirements to support business needs, providing clear, executive-level communication and reporting
Proactively identify, evaluate, and address trends, risks, and operational issues arising from day-to-day activities
Oversee the maintenance, organization, and retrieval of contract documentation and validated data, including report preparation and participation in operational and status reviews
Perform additional duties as assigned to support business objectives
What you bring
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or operations is preferred.
4+ years in sales support, commercial operations, or pre‑deal execution within a B2B environment preferred, with demonstrated experience leading and developing analyst teams.
Deep experience with the B2B Retail Energy Industry
Knowledge of B2B standard product offerings, such as Fixed, Index, Block & Index and Load Following products.
Knowledge of ERCOT, PJM, MISO, NYISO, NE-POOL, PUC and/or TDSP/TDU standards
Experience with ESG and/or Excelergy (RevenueManager) billing platforms is a plus.
Knowledge in Salesforce and Intelometry technology is a plus
Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Outlook and strong Excel skills
Comfortable working in a target-driven and fast-changing environment, and able to respond to changing business needs

What we offer
The base salary range for this position is $103,000 - $155,000 per year. Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.
For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.
Additionally, employees are eligible for short-term disability leave for up to 26 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay as well as Long-Term Disability insurance. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives. For interns, eligible benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs; participation in a 401(k) plan; and paid leave for up to 11 paid holidays.
