What’s the role
The B2B Operations Lead is responsible for driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the organization. This role focuses on optimizing costs, increasing efficiency, and enhancing the customer experience while leading the team to achieve strategic business objectives.
This role will collaborate closely with internal teams, including SES, NBI, and IT, to implement best practices and innovative solutions. Additionally, this position is responsible for evaluating offshoring opportunities and aligning operational activities with industry benchmarks to ensure the organization remains competitive and effective.
Accountabilities:
Annual Revenue Responsibility: Company bills and collects approximately $2.5bn annually
Lead and manage the organization of 45 full-time FTEs, including 4 direct reports, to ensure effective operations and optimal performance
Develop and instill a culture of continuous improvement, focusing on enhancing cost efficiency, operational effectiveness, and customer experience
Explore and implement, as appropriate, an offshoring program to existing Shell Centers, with an initial assessment due in 2026
Foster productive collaboration between SES and NBI teams as it relates to operations
Partner with the IT Lead through 2026 to establish an organizational structure that optimally divides activities and FTEs between the Operations and IT teams
Create and maintain a system of benchmarks to evaluate SES operational excellence and customer experience against industry standards
What you bring
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
College degree required
At least 15 years of experience in the power retail or trading industry
Proven track record managing operations or settlements in an electricity retail or trade shop
Background as an operations, accounting, or commercial manager
Executive-level experience in a retail or trade shop is preferred
What we offer
The base salary range for this position is $178,000 - $266,000 per year. As pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.
For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.
Additionally, employees are eligible for short-term disability leave for up to 26 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay as well as Long-Term Disability insurance. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives. For interns, eligible benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs; participation in a 401(k) plan; and paid leave for up to 11 paid holidays.
