The Business Execution Lead serves as a strategic business leader who translates commercial strategy into disciplined operational outcomes across pricing, sales enablement, risk, settlements, and other core operational functions. Reporting to the Commercial Operations Manager, this role partners closely with Pricing and Sales to design and implement new products that support growth while ensuring downstream operational readiness. By leveraging deep knowledge of billing systems, strong business judgment, and technical fluency, the role enables clear prioritization and effective execution of initiatives in collaboration with Technology. Known for responding quickly to urgent business needs, this leader applies creative, out-of-the-box thinking and automation to drive results.
Accountabilities:
Oversee recurring and day-to-day business execution processes, identifying opportunities to improve effectiveness, scalability, and efficiency
Partner with Operations, Finance, and Technology stakeholders to translate business needs into clearly defined priorities and execution plans
Develop and drives strategies that enable the business to achieve critical goals and objectives in the most efficient and disciplined manner possible
Establish governance and prioritization frameworks to ensure initiatives are aligned with operational impact, capacity, and strategic value
Approve and allocate resources based on enterprise priorities, business readiness, and expected outcomes
Evaluate existing processes, policies, and performance metrics, recommending improvements that enhance clarity, consistency, and execution
Serve as a liaison between business teams and enabling functions (e.g., IT, data, analytics), translating operational, risk, and settlement needs into clearly prioritized initiatives with measurable business outcomes
Support data informed decision making by defining information needs, validating insights, and ensuring leaders have timely, actionable analysis.
Partner with Risk and Settlements teams to ensure accurate, timely revenue generation through effective execution, issue resolution, and alignment of operational priorities

What you bring
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Bachelor’s Degree required
At least 10 years of progressive experience, including prior people leadership and management responsibility
Extensive experience leading complex business functions or initiatives that span multiple departments or disciplines
Proven ability to lead, develop, and hold teams accountable, including responsibility for hiring, performance management, and talent development
Experience providing leadership through subordinate managers and/or directors
Primary accountability for strategic planning, direction setting, and goal alignment in support of organizational objectives
Demonstrated ability to establish policies, practices, and operating models that materially impact long-term organizational performance
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize data, identify root causes, and drive practical solutions
Demonstrated ability to partner with Pricing and Sales to design, launch, and operationalize new products, ensuring commercial objectives are supported by scalable processes, risk considerations, and billing readiness
Proven capability to respond rapidly to urgent and complex business needs through strategic thinking, creative problem solving, and the practical application of automation and process optimization to deliver timely, high impact solutions
Extensive knowledge of billing systems, with the ability to assess downstream impacts, identify risks, and guide prioritization decisions
Ability to work comfortably with technical and data driven teams, clearly articulating business intent and evaluating proposed solutions without requiring deep technical specialization
Strong business writing and executive communication skills, with experience tailoring messages for diverse audiences and formats
Highly effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, align, and drive outcomes across functional boundaries
Learner mindset with a continuous improvement orientation and curiosity for better ways of working
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail and follow through
Self-motivated, results oriented, and capable of operating effectively in a fast paced, evolving environment
Ability to meet deadlines, learn quickly, and demonstrate disciplined problem solving and follow-up
Complies with company policies and procedures
Note: This role is a virtual position based in the US
What we offer
The base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $173,000 per year. As pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.
For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.
Additionally, employees are eligible for short-term disability leave for up to 26 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay as well as Long-Term Disability insurance. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives. For interns, eligible benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs; participation in a 401(k) plan; and paid leave for up to 11 paid holidays.
