The Account Management Analyst will facilitate and support retail sales account activities through the generation and processing of account change documents in the markets served by SES, including PJM, ERCOT, NYISO, ISONE, and CAISO.
This position will directly collaborate with team members, Pricing, Sales Support, and other cross-functional teams to support evolving business needs. Reporting to the Account Management Team Lead, the role requires a self‑motivated, dedicated, and responsible individual with the ability to perform well under pressure.
Accountabilities:
Own and manage the generation, review, validation, and processing of complex commercial sales agreement change documentation, including Adds/Deletes, Assignments & Assumptions, renewals, restructures, and non‑standard contract amendments
Serve as a subject‑matter resource for complex or non‑routine account change scenarios, including multi‑site transactions, multi‑market constructs, and bespoke contract language
Interpret and apply contract terms, market rules, and internal policies to ensure accurate downstream execution and risk mitigation
Calculate, validate, and explain early termination fees (ETFs) and other financially significant contract impacts, including escalation support for pricing, legal, or commercial review where required
Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve internal processing issues tied to completed agreements, ensuring root causes are addressed and documented
Research, analyze, and resolve contract inquiries, exceptions, and disputes from internal stakeholders by providing clear, well‑reasoned recommendations
Consistently meet or exceed defined SLAs while balancing quality, accuracy, and shifting business priorities
Act as a reliable escalation point for complex account issues, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication to affected stakeholders
Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, or risk exposures and recommend practical improvements to workflows, templates, controls, and documentation standards
Support audits, data validation efforts, and regulator‑ or market‑driven requests related to contracts and customer account changes
Deliver exceptional internal and external customer service through clear communication, sound judgment, and dependable follow‑through
Contribute to broader team success by sharing best practices, institutional knowledge, and lessons learned across markets and deal types
Perform additional duties as required in support of team and organizational objectives
What you bring
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
At least 10+ years of experience in the electricity sector, with demonstrated depth in commercial operations, back‑office functions, and contract administration
Advanced knowledge of post‑deal lifecycle management across ERCOT, PJM, NYISO, ISONE, and CAISO, including market nuances and timing dependencies
Strong working expertise with Salesforce, Intelometry, Smartsheet, or comparable CRM and contract lifecycle management platforms
Proven ability to independently manage complex workloads while exercising sound judgment in high‑impact scenarios
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate rationale, risks, dependencies, and recommended actions to internal stakeholders
Strong understanding of contract structures, templates, and legal constructs, with the ability to anticipate downstream impacts and proactively mitigate risk
Demonstrated problem‑solving mindset with the ability to think beyond standard processes and design practical, scalable solutions
Comfort operating in a metrics‑driven, fast‑changing environment with competing priorities and tight timelines
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills for analysis, reconciliation, and reporting
Excellent analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills with a consistently high attention to detail
Self‑motivated, solution‑oriented, and committed to continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and professional growth
