Pay Range

$16.00 - $24.00

Major Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates a concern for cleanliness of self and work area; practices infection control for the protection of patients, co-workers, and self. Wears appropriate apparel in central supply stock area.

  • Stocks and uses protective gloves and cavi-wipes on supply carts to wipe Omnicell keyboards in efforts to control the spread of infection. Inspects all equipment that has been through decontamination for cleanliness. Returns to decontamination if not thoroughly cleaned.

  • Demonstrates complete working knowledge of proper procedural techniques for stocking Omnicell. Uses appropriate badge identification to login on an Omnicell.

  • Selects correct pick ticket number and load stock once login is established.

  • Completes cycle count and corrects inventory before stocking an item(s). After inventory adjustments are input, adds new inventory. Checks for any outs that may not have shown up on the pick ticket and makes adjustments as needed

  • Verifies that log out is successful before leaving the area.

  • Exits program if approached by a clinician needing supplies. May continue once the clinician logs out.

  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of the PMM program. Properly issues stock to correct cost center using PMM. Correctly enters direct patient charges using PMM

  • Familiar with item lookup, cycle counting, order status, and issue process pending using PMM.

  • Displays correct usage of cash register system.

  • Ability to navigate the ECRS retail cash register 2.

  • Uses cash register to track all sales made from central supply.

  • Inventories supply carts, fills orders, pulls outdated supplies.

  • Correctly restocks isolation, latex-free, GU, IV drug therapy and code carts.

  • Restocks code carts immediately. Restocks all other carts before the end of the shift. Fills HSS orders as needed from nursing floors, surgical areas, and other departments. Correctly uses computer to charge out supplies to appropriate department.

  • Cycle counts inventory and properly records errors. Discusses major fluctuations with supervisor/manager. Removes outdated product during inventory process of Omnicell, carts, and central supply locations.

  • Follows through on any incomplete assignments and reports to next shift.

  • Informs co-worker at end of shift any customer issues that may carry-on through the evening or next day. Informs co-worker at end of shift any shortages of pumps.

  • Informs co-worker of any unfinished assignments that must completed.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

  • None

Education Required:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent 

     

Experience Required:

  • One year of on -the-job training 

     

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries weight up to 50 pounds. Ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols with vision and hearing within normal range to respond to Code alerts and equipment alarms. Work-related stress due to volume and time constraints with irregular working hours.
