Job Description:
- Assist Underwriters with carrying out essential duties and responsibilities through operation of proprietary systems and guidelines
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with brokers and business partners to provide high quality service to clients
- Logging submissions, assisting with account risk selection, and managing underwriting workflow
- Interaction with clients & brokers, attending meetings when appropriate, and managing premium queries
- Administer Facultative Reinsurance entries and bookings
- Perform Monthly/Quarterly review and analysis of Data reports
- Develop proficiency in basic Underwriting analysis and prepare Underwriting worksheets, endorsements, and policy documentation
- Assisting with data analytics, generating reports and presentations
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma; college degree preferred.
- General knowledge of commercial insurance strongly preferred.
- Detail oriented and capable of working independently in a fast paced, high-production environment.
- Flexibility and adaptable to changing business needs, adjusting priorities and/or work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong oral/written communication skills, math proficiency and data analytic experience.
- Ability to maintain a positive working relationship with clients and brokers.
- Must display a professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
