Major Responsibilities:
- Orders pharmacy materials and supplies from vendors.
- Receives pharmacy materials and supplies from dock and delivers to appropriate departments.
- Assures pharmacy materials and supplies are properly stocked and prepared for distribution.
- Accurately restocks inventory.
- Checks quantity and quality of supplies received to ensure proper items are received and are in usable condition.
- Accurately stocks supplies based on identifying manufacturer’s item reference number with internal item number.
- Checks expiration dates of inventory and removes any expired supplies
- Delivers stat requests for supplies.
- Alerts leadership team of problems encountered, stockouts, or other unusual situations.
- Collects and removes empty corrugated boxes before the end of shift.
- Participates in on-site clinic deliveries.
- Participates in the cold chain process, including but not limited to, pulling ice packs, restocking freezers, verifying and packaging shipments, moving shipments to courier pick up area, and preparing area for next day.
Education Required:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Good Mathematic skills
- Attention to details.
- Good customer service, communication, organization, problem resolution, and process development skills.
- Basic computer skills.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, bend, kneel, climb, twist, crawl and reach above shoulders
- Requires considerable walking, standing, pushing mobile cart of approximately 50 pounds and lifting 35 pounds of material.
- Must have functional vision, touch and hearing
- Must be able to speak and be understood by others to communicate effectively
- May be exposed to chemical hazards
- May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease.
- Exposed to various conditions throughout the workday such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs and changes in temperature and humidity.
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job
- Completes appropriate training to operate a pallet jack
- Flexibility to travel between pharmacy locations
