Job Title: Production Room Supervisor

General Function

The Production Room Supervisor responsibilities include: Leading a team, which produces quality product, in an efficient manner, while following HACCP, Good Manufacturing practices and production work lists.

Reporting Relations:

Accountable and Reports to: Director of Meat Operations and Production Managers

Positions that Report to you: None

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintaining and ensuring food safety. Report any food safety deviations to your supervisor immediately.

• Reports to work when scheduled and on time. Adheres to company policies and departmental guidelines.

• Accepts responsibility for guiding and communicating work schedule with team.

• Ability to understand weights/measures and identify correct packaging.

• Follows production list provided by Production Supervisor.

• Must be able to read and understand product dating requirements.

• Need to be able to motivate and supervise individuals on the line.

• Performs other job-related duties and assists in other areas of plant as needed.

• Other duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics:

• Attention to detail and follow through.

• Ability to read and interpret written or verbal instructions.

• Must be knowledgeable of safety program, procedures, sanitary practices and standards.

Education and Experience:

Food manufacturing and supervisory experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

This is considered an unskilled position. Frequent to constant handling, grasping, constant listening, talking, hearing, seeing, reading, dealing with people, influencing others, evaluating information, supervising a line.

Working Conditions:

• Duties performed in production area.

• Will be required to work in other production capacities or seek supplies in warehouse as needed.

• Ability to adapt to changes throughout daily operation.

Equipment Used to Perform Job:

Production machinery, Copy machine and two-way radio.
