About the Role

The Associate Graphic Designer role is responsible for the creation and execution of Gap store marketing materials—working in close partnership with the cross-functional marketing team—to ensure printed marketing collateral is compelling and brand-appropriate, enhances the customer in-store experience, and drives traffic and conversion KPIs. This role is part of our Visual Experience team, helping to build a best-in-class retail experience across all in-store customer touchpoints and brand collaboration extensions. Reports into Creative Manager.

What You'll Do

  • Create Gap marketing materials across seasons (campaigns, day-in and day-out) and programs (loyalty and promotional) that enhance the brand and the overall customer experience.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the design and print production processes, combining this knowledge with marketing objectives and budgets to solve creative challenges.

  • Collaborate with art directors, copywriters, digital partners, brand managers, merchandising, and styling teams to execute seasonal campaigns from concept through completion.

  • Actively participate in and help drive the creative process by presenting thorough and well-developed recommendations to meet the given objectives. Own and update presentations for leadership review.

  • Support all project phases: concepting, design, development, and production.

  • Participate in print production review via mechanical proofing/QA.

  • Manage workload from production schedules and status updates; ensure work is prioritized and delivered on time and to brief.

Who You Are

  • Background in graphic design with a strong eye for photography and composition, as well as typography.

  • Enthusiasm for both creative and technical processes; attention to detail is key.

  • Ability to iterate quickly and sustain professional demeanor in response to revisions, unscheduled work, and short timetables.

  • Receptive to direction, guidance, and constructive feedback.

  • 1–3 years experience working in agency or in-house creative environment with print-specific experience.

  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).

  • Having a mind for math is a plus. There are components of this role that are highly technical.

  • Desire to explore, understand and use new software and other technological advancements related to our business.
