The Ambulatory Nurse is a nursing staff position, which reports to the Administrative Manager. Performs treatments, administers medications, assists procedures performed without anesthesia while utilizing aseptic technique, assists with employee education and orientation and provides patient/family education with the goal of improving health outcomes. Involves family/significant others in planning health care and health decisions. Delegates and evaluates health care to assistive personnel following the hospital plan for nursing. Recognizes and advocates for each patient being individual with health care needs. Provides considerate, respectful care affirming the patient’s right to make decisions regarding his/her medical care.



Commitment to obtain Bachelors of Science in Nursing within 5 years of hire.
Graduation from an accredited program of nursing.
Registered Nursing license in State of Ohio.

The Ambulatory Nurse in the Gastroenterology Division provides a blend of phone triage and direct patient care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinic environment. This role is responsible for assessing and coordinating patient care, managing prior authorizations, and supporting both providers and patients throughout the care process. In clinic, the nurse rooms patients, independently manages NG/Gtube replacements, provides education at discharge, and ensures smooth transitions of care. The position requires strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills to deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate care to patients and families.
