Job Details:

The BH Nursing Supervisor serves as an expert clinical practitioner who utilizes specialized knowledge, skill, research, and competency acquired through education and experience to promote and assist in providing quality patient care in all units. This includes collaborating with other departments and physicians as necessary, assisting staff in patient placement and the coordination of patient care, and acting as clinical resource to unit staff as needed. The BH Nursing Supervisor assists the staff in customer service and patient satisfaction issues when necessary. Locating and obtaining needed resources and supplies while complying with regulatory and infection control policies is an integrate part of the BH Nursing Supervisor role. The BH Nursing Supervisor communicates with unit administrative managers, assists with directors’ issues, identifies concerns related to staff performance, educational needs, process and system barriers, or customer service issues; works collaboratively with the unit managers on plans of action and/or support of decisions while adhering to confidentiality. Manages and ensures safe unit staffing.

Education:
BSN is required

Experience:
3+ years of pediatric experience is required

Certification/Licensure:
Active and unrestricted RN license in the State of Ohio is required
BLS (Basic Life Support) is required

Department Specific Job Details:

  • full time, 36 hours
  • day shift, 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM
  • 3 (12) hour shifts
  • weekend rotation every 3rd week and holiday rotation
  • serving the inpatient Mental Health Unit at the Mathile Center

Education Requirements:

Bachelors: Nursing (Required)

Certification/License Requirements:
